1) Coverage overview
CoreCloud Marketplace provides warranty support based on the supplier/manufacturer warranty terms applicable to the product and the statutory consumer rights that apply in South Africa.
1.1 Standard warranty (manufacturer / supplier)
- Warranty coverage applies to manufacturing defects and faults under normal intended use.
- Warranty period and remedy (repair/replace/refund) may differ by brand, model, and supplier.
- Where a promotion bundle contains multiple items, each line item may have its own OEM warranty terms.
1.2 Statutory rights (South Africa)
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights. Where applicable, consumers may have an implied warranty of quality and return rights within six months for defective/unsafe goods, and suppliers may be obliged to repair/replace/refund as required by law.
2) Extended warranty (optional)
If an extended warranty is offered and selected at checkout/quotation, it applies only to the items explicitly covered in the quote/invoice. Unless stated otherwise on the quote, the extended warranty fee is calculated as 6.5% of the relevant item’s price.
3) What is not covered (exclusions)
- Physical damage (drops, cracks, dents), liquid/water damage, corrosion, fire, power surges, lightning, or environmental damage.
- Misuse, abuse, negligence, tampering, unauthorized repair, modification, or use outside manufacturer specifications.
- Consumables and wear items (where applicable): cables, ink/toner, batteries (unless explicitly warranted by OEM), adapters, etc.
- Software issues not related to hardware faults; viruses/malware; data loss; configuration or user setup.
- Normal cosmetic wear and tear that does not affect function.
4) How to submit a warranty claim (RMA process)

Email sales@corecloudza.com with:
- Order/quote reference (or invoice number)
- Item/bundle name + SKU (if available)
- Fault description + troubleshooting already attempted
- Photos/videos (especially for physical symptoms)
- Delivery address and contact number
- We will advise next steps (supplier RMA, inspection, collection/delivery instructions). Please do not ship items without a confirmed RMA reference.
- Assessment/diagnosis may be required to confirm the fault and whether it is covered.
5) Courier & handling
- If the claim is approved as a warranty fault, courier handling is processed per supplier terms and the applicable legal position.
- If the item is found to be working or the fault falls under exclusions, you may be liable for diagnostics and courier costs.
- All returned items must be packaged securely. Damage caused by inadequate packaging is not covered.
6) Remedy & turnaround times
- Remedy may be repair, replacement, or refund depending on supplier/OEM determination and stock availability.
- Turnaround times vary by brand, part availability, and logistics. We will provide estimates during the claim process.
7) Data & backups
Before returning any device, back up your data. CoreCloud Marketplace is not responsible for data loss that may occur during diagnostics, repair, replacement, or reinstallations.
8) Policy updates
This policy may be updated periodically. The version applicable to your purchase is the version published on the site at the time of purchase, unless a written agreement states otherwise.
